In 2002, Soree Ear Clinic(SEC) was founded exclusively
dedicated for ear health care. Since then, SEC has been
serving more than 100,000 out-patients and 1,000 cases
of ear surgery each year.

hearing aid, cochlear implant and other latest techniques.
SEC is the leading cochlear implant center in Korea with
more than 70~100 cases per year, and is highly renowned
for its advanced surgery skills such as advanced RW
approaches and hearing preservation techniques.
Especially our clinic is famous for the first Hybrid CI or
Electrical Acoustic Stimulation(EAS), and has maintained
the highest level of EAS surgery in the world.

CI (Cochlear Implant)

A cochlear implant is a special electronic device for severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss patients. The Soree Ear Clinic(SEC) is a leading CI center, which is famous for outstanding surgical techniques including hearing preservation surgery, and round window insertion. Also SEC’s professional rehabilitation systems can provide well structured hearing, speech and music therapy program.

Hybrid / EAS implant
Hybrid / EAS implant is combination of acoustic hearing(via hearing aid) for low frequency and electric hearing (via cochlear implant) for mid-high frequency treated for partial deafness patients in the same ear. It enables to hear more naturally in all frequencies compared with conventional CI. Since the first hybrid implant in Korea in 2010, our clinic has been recognized as one of the best EAS centers in the world.

ARS (Atresia Repair Surgery)
Atresia Repair surgery(ARS) is to create a normal sized ear canal from either a stenotic canal or complete aural atresia. The Soree Ear Clinic(SEC) has performed more than 100 successful atresia repair surgeries per year, the number of which is recognized as the highest number in the world. The candidates of ARS are children and adults with unilateral as well as bilateral atresia, and the goals are creating functional ear canals and restoring hearing to within normal limits. SEC performs this surgery to children as young as 3 years of age. This greatly helps the children's language development since 3-5 years of age is crucial for such development. SEC's atresia repair surgery is compatible with all forms of outer ear reconstruction - Medpor, Rib Graft, and Prosthetics!
